We won’t be getting more Falling Skies until next summer,  but TNT doesn’t want us to forget about the alien invasion series while we wait. Today they released a new featurette about the special effects makeup and prosthetics that look so natural – do we say that alien makeup looks natural? – that most viewers have no idea how much work goes into them.

Watch this and you will. It’s especially fun to hear Cochise sound like a regular guy:

Falling Skies, starring Noah Wyle, Moon Bloodgood, Will Patton, Drew Roy, Connor Jessup, Seychelle Gabriel, Sarah Sanguin Carter, Colin Cunningham, Gloria Reuben, Ryan Robbins, and Maxim Knight, will return for Season 4 in 2014 on TNT.
