It’s only two weeks away! We’ve been waiting for four years and it’s finally two weeks away! Even less than that if you’re going to the IMAX fan sneak. Paramount is now continually feeding our frenzy for all things Star Trek Into Darkness with a variety of clips, featurettes, and more, and I for one am continually gobbling it up.
Today we have a featurette from the premiere in London with the teeniest tiniest bit of new footage, mostly behind the scenes, but we also get to hear Simon Pegg‘s and Karl Urban‘s natural accents, which is always a good thing. We also get a featurette about Scotty, which has quite a bit more new footage:

Here are several new TV spots; “The Dark” has the most new footage, at least to my eyes, and “The Future” is arguably the zippiest:

If you have a 3D TV at home, you are doubly lucky. First, because you have a 3D TV at home. Second, because you have 3D glasses that may work on this 3D trailer. I don’t know for sure if the 3D glasses they distribute at the movie theaters work, but I do know that the classic red/green glasses work, and hopefully you’re just geeky cool enough to have those sitting about somewhere so that you can try out on this beauty, first released yesterday as part of the AreYouThe1701.com :

Speaking of AreYouThe1701.com, if you go to the site you’ll see that they are giving away L.A. premiere tickets if you tweet “I am #the1701”, so make sure to check it out, and tweet it out if you’re interested. Good luck!
In honor of the new movie, our pals over at the Roddenberry Shop have long sleeve black tee shirts with the Enterprise insignia, inspired by the black shirts we’ve seen in the trailers, that will allow you to let your geek flag fly in a more subtle way than the more colorful uniform shirts do; check it out here.
