Yvonne Strahovski Teases Romance In I, FRANKENSTEIN

Last November,we brought you up to speed on several exciting casting announcements for Stuart Beattie’s I, Frankenstein, including Bill Nighy, Miranda Otto, and Chuck star Yvonne Strahovski to star opposite Aaron Eckhart in the big screen adaptation of Kevin Grevioux’s graphic novel.

Following up on our coverage, actress Yvonne Strahovski recently talked with MovieWeb about preparing for her role as the love interest of Eckhart’s character Adam, Frankenstein’s monster:

“I’m flying in a couple of weeks to Australia to shoot another movie with Aaron Eckhart, which I’m really excited about called I, Frankenstein. It’s going to be sort of an action-drama-romance type movie. I play a scientist, and I think I’m changing up my accent. I’m going to be British in this one, which is nice for a change. I’ve been an American for so many years now (Laughs). It’s kind of a modern take on the original (Frankenstein) story. There will be some romantic elements, I think it’s safe to say that much.”

Strahovski’s character is a scientist “tricked into working for demons (led by Bill Nighy’s demon prince) seeking to create an army of the undead.”

Synopsis:

I, FRANKENSTEIN is a modern-day epic:  Frankenstein’s creature, ADAM, has survived to present day due to a genetic quirk in his creation.  Making his way to a dark, gothic metropolis, he finds himself caught in an all-out, centuries old war between two immortal clans.  As writer/director, Stuart Beattie said, “Mary Shelly’s story is about the creation of the first human being.  This is the story about that being becoming human.”

I, Frankenstein based on a graphic novel by Underworld co-creator Kevin Grevioux is slated to hit theaters on February 22nd, 2013.
