WRATH OF THE TITANS: Edgar Ramirez and Bill Nighy Could Be Gods, Hayley Atwell Could Be a Princess

Over the last couple of months, two of the stars from the Louis Leterrier directed Clash of the Titans have spoken out about the forthcoming sequel. Liam Neeson (Unknown, Battleship) who will reprise his role as Zeus in the forthcoming sequel, confirmed that they will start shooting in March, and Sam Worthington (Man on a Ledge) who plays Perseus, spoke about Wrath of the Titans, admitting that the reboot was a let-down to fans and that the sequel will definitely improve upon the mistakes made by the first film.

Now, we may actually have some casting news. Deadline reports that Édgar Ramírez (Domino, Carlos) is in talks to take on the role of Ares, The God of War, in the Jonathan Liebesman directed sequel. Also, The Wrap reports that Hayley Atwell (Captain America: The First Avenger) is on the shortlist of actresses testing for the role of Andromeda and Bill Nighy (Rango, Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows: Part 2)is being courted to play Hephaestus.

Wrath of the Titans (formerly known as Clash of the Titans 2), directed by Jonathan Liebesman (Battle: Los Angeles, Odysseus) is slated to hit theaters on March 30th, 2012.
