Wrath of the Titans Director to Helm TEENAGE MUTANT NINJA TURTLES Reboot

A couple of years ago, we brought you the news when Paramount Pictures and Nickelodeon brought Michael Bay and his Platinum Dunes production company on board to move their Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles reboot project forward, and just last Summer they hired Josh Appelbaum and Andre Nemec (Mission: Impossible – Ghost Protocol) to pen the reboot.

Now, THR reports that director Jonathan Liebesman (Battle Los Angeles, Wrath of the Titans) is now in final negotiations to helm the new Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles film, being produced by Scott Mednick (Where the Wild Things Are) and Galen Walker (TMNT).

According to their report, Brett Ratner (X-Men: The Last Stand) was also being considered to helm the project, so we can consider Liebesman being hired as a huge bullet dodged.

No official release date for Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles has been announced.
