Green Lantern writer-producer Greg Berlanti is reportedly the frontrunner to direct Warners Bros’ next superhero film The Flash. The studio was impressed with Berlanti’s prep work on Green Lantern, making him the top contender to helm the movie based on DC Comics’ Scarlet Speedster.

No pre-production schedule for The Flash has been announced, nor have any writers or stars been officially attached to the project.
