Will Ben Affleck Direct JUSTICE LEAGUE for Warner Bros. Pictures?

Back in June, we brought you the news when Warner Bros. Pictures hired Will Beall to pen the script that will finally unite the DC heroes of the Justice League onscreen, and just last week we brought you news that Warner Bros. were already putting plans into motion “to resuscitate Batman as a stand-alone franchise and/or as part of a planned Justice League ensemble that could connect to next summer’s Man of Steel.”

Now, Variety is reporting that the studio has its sights set on Ben Affleck to helm the forthcoming Justice League film. Affleck is supposedly the only director to be given the new screenplay, and is set to meet with the studio in the next few days.

Alternatively, Deadline is literally calling “Bullshit” on the aforementioned story, with Affleck’s reps stating that it [Justice League] was not going to happen with him. Several sources have told the site that Affleck might take a meeting, but that’s it.

No production or release dates have been announced for Justice League.
