Web Series Wednesday: Updates

WSW Header

Welcome back to the series of posts here at SciFi Mafia that we’re calling Web Series Wednesday where we devote a space to the wonderment of the web series. Every Wednesday we’ll cover an awesome web series and give you all the info to get into it.

If you’ve got a favorite web series you’d like us to cover, head on over to the Contact Us page and shoot us your request. To catch up on past Web Series Wednesday posts click here.

This week we’re taking a little time to update you on shows we’ve already covered!

space janitors wide

Space Janitor’s second season is available since we reported last. And they also met their Kickstarter goal for a third season and it is currently in production! Huzzah! You can see our initial review here, and you can check them out to your heart’s content here.

dr-horrible-wide

While you would think Dr. Horrible’s Sing-Along Blog would fall into the category of no-updates since we last reported. You. Would. Be. Wrong. Dead wrong. In a statement released to Entertainment Weekly, song writer Jed Whedon said the following:

We know we have spoken publicly about a sequel in the near distance and our passion to create it, and I promise we have not been insincere. Horrible is still one of our favorite creations by humans who were also us. We have many songs written and the plot outlined, but needless to say, we’ve been busy. Joss has had a hectic couple of years and is in the middle of the busiest year of his life, as is Zack and as are we. Also the actors have other things they’re acting in, I think. So the future is uncertain, our passion remains. DH2 will exist, in some format or another, at some point in the future. Unfortunately, the when is still unclear.

I can wait. I can so patiently wait. For our original posting click here.

doctor puppet

Hooray! New Doctor! New Puppet on Doctor Puppet! Sadly, no new stories with the new Doctor Puppet, but you can see Alisa Stern’s creation in a couple of her newer videos on her YouTube channel. I can’t wait to see the new puppet in action! Here’s a link to our review.

COPS Skyrim

COPS: Skyrim is still going strong on The Nerdist YouTube Channel and just had its fourth season finale last month. So go get caught up! And check out our review here.

Red Shirts Wide

Just a few days ago our prayer were answered via Twitter! New episodes for Red Shirts are coming! We reviewed this show before we started handing out stars, but I’ll let you know it’s a five out of five star show for sure. Can’t wait to see more! Bookmark their YouTube channel here and read our first post on Red Shirts here.

The Adventures of Keith Flippen Didgeridoo Player from the 3rd Dimension

We we first posted about The Adventures of Keith Flippen Didgeridoo Player from the 3rd Dimension, they had just posted their first episode. Now they’ve got six for you to catch up on and I must say that the sound quality that I complained about in my initial review (here) has gotten better. Check out all their episodes here, and imagine how fun they’d be to know in real life.

still wide

Still is a must watch series that had only aired five episodes when I had first reviewed it (here). Three more episodes have gone up since that review. Go. Watch (here). Share. Do it now.

it's a small world web series

The It’s a Small World Animated Series has ten adorable and educational episodes for you to enjoy and you can stream them all through Disney Video. So cute. Check out our review here.

I’ll save the last eight weeks of reviews including The Weepers, The Invaders, Chutes: Jesse’s Vlog, RCVR, Vampire Mob, Chronicles of the Dead, Horror Hotel, and Caper, since we’ve reviewed them pretty recently.

No updates were made on the following shows, but we’ll continue to keep an eye on them.School of Thrones, Course of the Force, The Guild, Geek DIY, Nobility, Platoon of Power Squadron, Neil’s Puppet Dreams, Agent 88, The Booth at the End, Bite Me, Tiny Commando, Ghost Ghirls, Stream, The World of Steam, and The Fuzz.

We’ve already reported on an update for Release the Hounds, here.

And the following shows were only meant to run for a short time, but you can still check them out and enjoy them. World of Warcraft: The Burdens of Shaohao, The Minister of Chance, Fan Made Batman Movies on Cinefix, The Walking Dead: The Oath, The Four Players, and Aquaman: Teen Drama.
