We’ve been keeping you updated on all the casting news for Marvel’s Guardians of the Galaxy. We have Chris Pratt (Zero Dark Thirty) as Star-Lord, Dave Bautista (The Man With the Iron Fists) as Drax the Destroyer, Zoe Saldana (Star Trek Into Darkness) as Gamora and Michael Rooker (The Walking Dead) as Yondu. Now we have a possible villain ready to join the crew.
According to The Wrap, our favorite pie man from Pushing Daisies, Lee Pace, is in final talks to play the yet-to-be-named villain for Guardians of the Galaxy after losing the role of Star-Lord to Chris Pratt. Though I’m sure he can’t be too disappointed, the bad guy can be such a more interesting and fun role to play.
No word as to whether she’ll be on the side of good or evil, but Ophelia Lovibond (Mr. Popper’s Penguins) has joined the cast as well according to THR. She is most likely too pretty to play the racoon.
Well keep you posted on the latest for Guardians of the Galaxy.
Guardians of the Galaxy directed by James Gunn and starring Chris Pratt, Dave Bautista, Michael Rooker, Zoe Saldana and Lee Pace is slated to hit theaters August 1st, 2014.
