TRUE BLOOD Casting News For Sookie And Tara’s Crushes And Eric’s New Toy

Heads up, Fang-bangers!  The roles of Alcide Herveaux, Franklin Mott, and Yvetta has been cast for the next season of HBO’s “True Blood”, based on the Charlaine Harris books.

Alcide, Sookie’s werewolf crush, will be played by Joe Manganiello best known as the bar keep on “One Tree Hill” and Marshall’s law school bud on “HIMYM”.  The casting call for Alcide describes him as: “good-looking, rough-around-the-edges, articulate, heroic, and decent, but not what he seems. He gets along well with Sookie. There’s even an attraction between the two. Very strong recurring role.”

Franklin Mott, Tara’s vamp sugah daddy (at least in the books), will be played by James Frain of the “Tudors”, “Eli”, and “24”.  He will appear in the second episode of the third season.  Franklin is described as “a tall, dark, and handsome vampire who seems to have an “immediate and torrid” connection to Tara”.

Yvetta, Fangtasia’s newest dancer and Eric Northman’s new toy, will be played by actress and model Natasha Alam of “The Bold and the Beautiful” in a potentially recurring role.
