The Warner Bros. film Edge of Tomorrow, starring Tom Cruise as Lt. Col. Bill Cage and Emily Blunt as Rita Vrataski, was formerly titled All You Need is Kill. It had a panel at Comic-Con last month (see “Editor’s Squee” below) and has since wrapped filming, but will be shooting some addition scenes with a new character, Colonel Walter Marx, to be played by Jeremy Piven. Here’s a short synopsis of the movie.

A soldier fighting in a war with aliens finds himself caught in a time loop of his last day in the battle, though he becomes better skilled along the way.

According to Deadline, Jeremy Piven will be shooting additional scenes, but the ending is not being rewritten to accommodate those scenes.

Here’s to hoping we’ll get to see a trailer soon!

Editor’s Squee: I hope you’ll get to see the trailer soon, because it’s really good. Yes, that’s right, I was in fact in Hall H when Tom Cruise made his first appearance at Comic-Con, for the Edge of Tomorrow panel, and yes, it was the same day that we had the entire cast of X-Men Days of Future Past on stage in front of us. Yes, campouts for Saturdays in Hall H are worth it.

Edge of Tomorrow starring Tom Cruise, Emily Blunt, Bill Paxton, and Jeremy Piven is slated to hit theaters June 6th, 2014.
