There Are Still Signs of Life for the PRIDE AND PREJUDICE AND ZOMBIES Movie

PaPaZombies

In October of 2011 we reported on the demise of the Lionsgate film adaptation of Pride and Prejudice and Zombies. Craig Gillespie had been attached at the time to direct, Natalie Portman would produce and several actresses including Blake Lively and Emma Stone passed on the role of Elizabeth Bennett. FEAR NOT, Zombie fans. It looks like this undead project is getting a resurrection.

According to Deadline, Panorama Media, Darko Entertainment (including Natalie Portman), Handsomecharlie Films, and producer Allison Shearmur have joined forces to bring this best selling novel by Seth Grahame-Smith back to reality. They are on the hunt for a director and plan to debut the film at the Cannes Film Festival.

No telling what YEAR they’ll be debuting this film at Cannes, but it’s promising to see signs of life for the project.

We’ll keep you posted on the film adaptation of Pride and Prejudice and Zombies.
