THE WALKING DEAD Breaks Own Ratings Record – Finale Draws Six Million

Sunday night’s season finale of AMC’s The Walking Dead broke its own ratings record with a series high of six million total viewers, including four million in the 18-49 category. These numbers have made The Walking Dead “the most watched basic cable series of all time” in this demographic.

The first season of the series only held six episodes but has proven to be a huge success. The show has been renewed for a thirteen-episode second season and is expected to premiere again in the Halloween season.
