The Doctor Is Stateside! DOCTOR WHO Premieres In April On BBC America


The Tardis is bringing the Doctor to the States on the upcoming season of the BBC’s Doctor Who. Mark your calendars for April 23, 2011 at 9/8C on BBC America for Part One of the two-part, sixth season premiere. What adventure awaits the Doctor and his Companions? Here’s the episode summary:

“The season picks up with the Doctor (Matt Smith) and his companions Amy (Karen Gillan) and Rory (Arthur Darvill) finding themselves on a secret summons that takes them on an adventure from the desert in Utah — right to the Oval Office in 1969.”

The premiere episode was written by showrunner Steven Moffat and will feature a guest appearance by Mark Sheppard (Supernatural, Battlestar Galactica) and Alex Kingston (FlashForward, ER) as River Song.
