That’s a Wrap for Joss Whedon’s SHIELD Pilot

Hopefully, just for now. Co-writer Maureen Tancharoen has tweeted and Instagrammed “That’s a wrap. #SHIELD” so it looks like the filming has been completed for Joss Whedon‘s pilot for proposed ABC series S.H.I.E.L.D. Tancharoen included a lovely pic, below, featuring S.H.I.E.L.D. executive producers Jeph Loeb (Smallville, Heroes), Joss Whedon, Tancharoen, her husband/Joss’ brother Jed Whedon, and Jeffrey Bell (Angel, Alias).

Those are some great pics and tweets, but this has to be the best one:

Nope, still no idea how exactly Clark Gregg‘s Agent Coulson will be appearing in the series, given that it’s set to take place after the battle of New York that we saw in The Avengers. Flashbacks, maybe. We’re just happy to be seeing him. Hopefully the pilot will be picked up by ABC for fall and we’ll be seeing him a lot more.

The S.H.I.E.L.D. pilot stars Ming-Na Wen (EurekaSGU Stargate Universe) as Melinda May, Brett Dalton (Killing Lincoln) as Grant Ward, Iain De Caestecker (The Fades) as Leo Fitz, Clark Gregg (Iron ManIron Man 2ThorCaptain America: The First Avenger, The Avengers) as Agent Coulson, Elizabeth Henstridge as Gemma Simmons, and Chloe Bennet (Nashville) as Skye.

We’ll keep you posted.
