Zoe Saldana Says STAR TREK 2 To Start Pre-Production In 2010

Zoe Saldana (Avatar, Star Trek) has said that pre-production on the sequel to J.J. Abrams Star Trek will start in 2010. Saldana, who is expected to reprise the role of Uhura in director J.J. Abrams’s follow-up to the 2009 hit – has revealed that the film’s writers are still penning a script and work on the update will begin late next year.

Saldana said,

“I spoke to J.J. [Abrams] and Bryan Burk, his producing partner at Bad Robot, and they are still in the middle of building the script with Alex Kurtzman and Bob Orci, and we’ll probably be going into pre-production around this time next year”
