STAN LEE’S MIGHTY 7 Premieres Saturday, Check Out the TV Spots

Stan Lee's Might 7 poster wide

Could be cool, could be corny, but it’s Stan Lee and it’s new superheroes and it will almost certainly be fun, so of course we’ll check it out. This Saturday is the premiere of Stan Lee’s Mighty 7 animated special, the first of three from Stan Lee Comics, and it features a great voice cast and The Man Himself, so make sure you have it on your calendar. Here are a couple of TV spots to set the stage:

TV Spot: Stan Lee’s Mighty 7

TV Spot: Stan Lee’s Mighty 7 – Message from Stan Lee

And here’s a quick reminder of the synopsis:

In the ninety-minute movie, Lee is an animated version of himself, a legendary superhero creator, who teaches a crew of alien prisoners and their jailers, who have crash-landed on Earth, how to work together and use their powers to be superheroes. Each alien superhero has his or her own unique powers and strengths, which aid in the group’s ability to combat enemies. Strong Arm (Armie Hammer), is known for his super strength; Silver Skylark (Teri Hatcher), uses her massive wingspan to fly; Lady Lightning (Mayim Bialik), possesses super speed; Lazer Lord (Christian Slater), hurls balls of lazer energy; Roller Man (Flea), rolls into a big ball and launches at high speed; Kid Kinergy (Sean Astin), has telekinesis; and Micro (Darren Criss), has the ability to shrink in size. As for other characters, Mr. Cross (Jim Belushi), is the leader of a covert operations military division assigned to investigate UFO sightings and Xanar (Michael Ironside), is the commander of the warring aliens from the planet Taegon who enslave other planets and raid their natural resources.

Excellent, I’m definitely in!

Stan Lee’s Mighty 7, starring the voices of Stan Lee, Sean Astin, Jim Belushi, Mayim Bialik, Darren Criss, Flea, Armie Hammer, Teri Hatcher, Michael Ironside and Christian Slater, premieres Saturday, February 1 at 8/7c/5p on The Hub Network.
