Quite some time ago, we brought you the news when director Steven Spielberg (Lincoln) signed on to direct the big-screen adaptation of Daniel H. Wilson‘s novel Robopocalypse, which had its screenplay penned by prolific screenwriter Drew Goddard (Lost).

Now, Deadline reports that while no official casting has happened yet, Spielberg has met with Chris Hemsworth (Thor: The Dark World) and reportedly wants the actor to star in the film about the human race’s attempt to survive an apocalyptic robot uprising.
