Earlier this week, we brought you news that director Robert Rodriguez was confident on casting stars for the sequel to the 2005 adaptation of Frank Miller’s graphic novel Sin City and that he would like to accommodate for actors that he wants to work with.

According to THR, Rodriguez and Miller are recruiting Oscar-winning writer William Monahan (Oblivion, The Departed) to lend a hand with the script. Rodriguez has financing secured and would like to start filming this year but he was waiting for the script to be completed before beginning the casting process. Sounds like they’re getting the ball rolling on Sin City 2!
