Shia LaBeouf To Star In Big Screen Adaptation of Joe Hill’s HORNS

We’ve been keeping you up-to-date on the television series adaptation of Joe Hill’s comic book series Locke & Key, which is being adapted for the small screen by Star Trek writers Alex Kurtzman (Fringe) and Roberto Orci (Untitled Star Trek Sequel), and will be directed by Mark Romanek (Never Let Me Go).

Now, Variety reports that Shia LaBeouf (Transformers: Dark of the Moon) has been attached to star in the big-screen adaptation of Joe Hill‘s novel entitled Horns, for Mandalay Pictures. The novel is being adapted by Keith Bunin (In Treatment).

LaBeouf will play Ig Perrish, a 26-year-old man who wakes up after a night of hard drinking and discovers there are horns growing out of his head. As the horns keep growing, he discovers they may have a mysterious connection to the unsolved murder of his girlfriend.

Horns is slated to hit theaters in 2011.
