Talk about exceptionally geekable casting! Farscape and Stargate SG-1 fans rejoice, as this month’s Doctor Who Magazine is confirming that our beloved John Crichton of Farscape, Ben Browder, will be guesting in Episode 3 of Season 7! It’s set in the U.S. “old west,” which unfortunately this time does not mean on location in Monument Valley, but on location in… Spain.

According to the new Doctor Who Magazine via SFX, the episode is written by Toby Whithouse, showrunner for BBC’s Being Human and writer of three previous Doctor Who episodes.

Here are some pics from Whovians.net (in Portugese!) via Bleeding Cool from the location shooting in Spain. There’s been no confirmation that the, err, interesting man in the hat, or the shirtless cyborg, is in fact Our Ben.

Doctor Who season 7, starring Matt Smith, Karen Gillan, and Arthur Darvill, premieres this fall on BBC America.
