Samuel L. Jackson (Iron Man 2) has claimed that Marvel Studios will be developing a S.H.I.E.L.D. movie that will hit theaters some time after The Avengers movie. As you know, Jackson appeared as S.H.I.E.L.D. head honcho, Nick Fury in both Iron Man and featured more prominently in Iron Man 2.

Speaking to RadioBigBoy (via Cinemablend), the actor said:

“The Avengers should start shooting some time next year, and then some time after that there’ll be a big S.H.I.E.L.D. movie.”

Jackson is also slated to appear as Nick Fury in the upcoming, Joe Johnston directed, Captain America: The First Avenger and Marvel Studios‘ team-up movie, The Avengers.
