Oscar winner, Christoph Waltz (Inglourious Basterds, The Green Hornet) is reportedly being considered by Sony’s Columbia Pictures to play the villain in director Marc Webb‘s ((500) Days of Summer) Untitled Spider-Man Reboot, starring Andrew Garfield (Never Let Me Go).

Production Weekly states that, “the studio is interested in Christoph Waltz for the villian.” and they have also made an “undisclosed choice” for the role of Aunt May.

The Playlist reports that the rumored villain in the film will be The Lizard.

The Untitled Spider-Man Reboot is slated to hit theaters on July 3rd, 2012.
