Official Trailer for LOCKE & KEY: How Can FOX Deny Us This Show?

Locke & Key is a limited comic series revolving around a group of three children who become the caretakers of Keyhouse, a mansion in New England that is full of secrets and magic.  And horror. We told you back in May 2010 that Roberto Orci and Alex Kurtzman (Star Trek, Transformers, Hawaii Five-O) had  signed on with Dreamworks to adapt it for television.

There was a flurry of activity, until we unfortunately had to report in May that the pilot had not been picked up by Fox for fall, and in June that, in spite of hopes that the series would be sold to a cable network, the sets were being taken down at the end of the month.

Although the pilot was shown at Comic-Con, we’ve not heard much else about the late, lamented project. Until now. The trailer for the show has now surfaced, and we’re happy to share it with you.

It’s understood that trailers use the best clips from a show or a movie, since the idea of a trailer is to get us to want to see the show or movie. WE WANT TO SEE THIS SHOW. There may be a dozen reasons why Fox didn’t pick it up, but we’re hoping that if American Horror Story does well for FX, there may still be a future for this series. Take a look and tell us if you agree:
