We’ve been telling you that The CW‘s upcoming new series Beauty and the Beast is a remake of the 1980s series of the same name. That 1980s series was lovely and romantic and had a great steampunky look to the underworld where the hero lived. Although we haven’t been able to screen the pilot, it appears from TV spots like the new one below that the updated version will continue the romantic aspect of the show:
