Meet X-FILES Stars David Duchovny and Gillian Anderson at Fundraiser

I WANT TO BELIEVE that I will be attending this event. SciFi Mafia® has learned that the two stars of the very excellent X-Files tv series and movies will be appearing together in a rather unique panel discussion next month in support of charity. If you are going to be in the Los Angeles area on July 30, don’t miss this great opportunity to see these two superb actors together – and potentially ask them “work-related” questions. This. Sounds. So. Cool. Please note that the auction for the six meet-and-greet pre-event spots goes live today (June 20) at noon Pacific time. Other tickets are available on their site now.

Here’s the press release:

Gillian Anderson and David Duchovny reunite for IBG’s summer charity event in Los Angeles on July 30, 2011 at 5:00pm.

There is no doubt that the pairing of Gillian Anderson and David Duchovny was the stuff of legends during the run of Fox’s hit television show, The X-Files. Fans will not want to miss the chance to see the actors reunite in frank conversation as they join IBG’s summer charity event on July 30, 2011.

Foregoing an outside moderator, fans will be treated to the actors taking turns as they pose questions to one another about their entire careers, process and future plans. Have any burning questions for the actors? Ask them! Audience members will be allowed to pose work-related questions to Duchovny and Anderson as part of the event.

Tickets to the general public are now on sale through the IBG website at: http://www.ibginc.org/specialseries Departing from our usual Conversation Series, this event will be available to a larger audience, while still maintaining the intimate conversational element. There are several ticket levels to choose from, along with meet & greets and more!!

Proceeds from the event will benefit SA-YES which was founded in 2008 to provide much needed support for marginalized children and young people in South Africa. The program is at a critical point, and we’re thrilled to be able to support their efforts with this unique event. To find out more about SA-YES, please visit: http://sa-yes.com/home/

This sounds like a great event; hopefully we’ll see you there!
