Marvel Studios is reportedly planning to produce a series of low-cost movies based on lesser-known Marvel characters like Dr. Strange, Ka-Zar, Luke Cage, Dazzler, Power Pack and others. The studio is meeting with writers and directors to develop them with meager $20-40 million budgets, per movie.

A budget of $20-40 million is quite a departure from the estimated budget of $200 million for Iron Man 2 and even the original Iron Man, which had a budget of $140 million.
