MAN OF STEEL: Warner Bros. Does the Release Date Shuffle


Earlier this month, we brought you the news about Harry Lennix from Joss Whedon’s series Dollhouse on Fox joining the cast of director Zack Snyder‘s forthcoming Superman reboot, Man of Steel as a high-ranking military officer named Sargent Stanwick.

Now, in new Man of Steel news… THR reports that Warner Bros. Pictures and Legendary Pictures have officially shifted the release from the original December 2012 date to an official opening date of June 14th, 2013. Apparently due to the December 14th, 2012 release date of director Peter Jackson’s forthcoming return to Middle Earth with The Hobbit: An Unexpected Journey. Filming won’t be delayed and is still taking place this summer.

Man of Steel, directed by Zack Snyder and starring Henry Cavill, Amy Adams, Michael Shannon, Diane Lane, Kevin Costner, Antje Traue, Russell Crowe and Julia Ormond is slated to hit theaters in 2012.
