Ever hesitant to bring you news of pilots for fear of being heartbroken by a tragic lack of series pickup, we are nonetheless thrilled to present to you a first look at Grant Gustin as Flash in his headgear, released today by Warner Bros. Television. And if they’re releasing the photo, surely that bodes well for a season pickup, right?

Not a surprise to see them going with the more muted, dark palette used in its parent series Arrow. According to Deadline, production begins next week. Come on, The CW, just go ahead and give Flash the much-needed series green light. We need to see more.
