Legendary Pictures Axes Alex Proyas’ PARADISE LOST

Back in December, we brought you the news when Legendary Pictures put the brakes on the production of director Alex Proyas‘ motion-capture, big screen adaptation of the Milton poem Paradise Lost to re-assess the sizable $120 million budget on the Bradley Cooper headlined film.

Now, Deadline reports that Legendary Pictures has scrapped the project due to the apparently cost prohibitive motion-capture and CGI. While it is possible for new financial backers to pick up the project and move forward in the future, it’s not likely to happen soon.

Paradise Lost is now officially in development hell.
