Leading Man Cast in the Remake of THE CROW

Luke Evans

Luke Evans (The Hobbit: The Desolation of Smaug) is a busy man. We reported mid April that he had been cast as the lead in Dracula Year Zero and now we hear that he’s taking on the lead, played in an earlier version by Brandon Lee, in the new version of The Crow directed by F. Javier Gutierrez.

Apparently while Luke Evans was the first choice, because of his busy schedule promoting The Hobbit sequel and starting his production on Dracula Year Zero, the team in charge for The Crow briefly looked into Tom Hiddleston (Thor) and Alexander Skarsgard (True Blood). Rather than going with either of these actors, however, they instead moved production to next year. This according to Deadline.

We’ll keep you posted on the latest for The Crow, starring Luke Evans.
