Latest TV Spot for MARVEL’S AGENTS OF SHIELD Features Agent Hill and a Bold Claim

We’re always happy to post strikingly similar “new” TV spots for shows and movies as long as there’s a notable new thing involved. This new TV spot for Joss Whedon‘s Marvel’s Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. has managed to fit in more than one new notable thing in its 30 seconds.

For one, there’s a good look at Cobie Smulders making what we’re told is a cameo appearance reprising her The Avengers role of Agent Maria Hill. Two, we get Coulson’s cute follow-up line to his “dark corner” comment from Wednesday’s featurette. And three, we get a is-this-supposed-to-be-tongue-in-cheek claim about the show itself:

TV Spot: Marvel’s Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. on ABC

Great! But – the biggest event on TV? Kinda bold, that. If it’s ABC‘s publicity department talking, I’m sure they’re hoping it’s true and that we’ll all agree. If it’s a Joss Whedon line, think of it being said in a somewhat snarky, Cap’n Mal-like deadpan voice. I like it.

Marvel’s Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D., starring Clark Gregg, Brett Dalton, Ming-na Wen, Iain De Caestecker, Elizabeth Henstridge, and Chloe Bennet, premieres Tuesday, September 24 at 8/7c on ABC.
