Kripke-Written Abrams-Produced REVOLUTION Signs a Director

We told you last week about Revolution, the pilot written by Supernatural creator Eric Kripke and executive produced by J.J. Abrams and Bryan Burk, that has been picked up by NBC. Abrams and Burk will be working with another familiar-to-sci-fi-fans name, as Jon Favreau (Iron Man, Cowboys & Aliens) has been tapped to direct the pilot.

Deadline broke the news about the hire. You may also recall that we told you back in October that Favreau is on board to direct Ex-Comm, a put pilot (meaning that they must air it or pay a substantial penalty) with ABC. We haven’t heard much since then, but we’re still fairly confident we’ll be seeing that one at some point.

Revolution has been described as a high-octane action drama about a group of people who are struggling to survive and reunite with loved ones in a world where all forms of energy have mysteriously ceased to exist.

We’ll keep you posted as always.
