Juno Temple Confirmed for The Dark Knight Rises

Earlier this week we told you that Juno Temple (Killer Joe, The Three Musketeers) was reportedly being eyed for a role, only being described as “a street-smart Gotham girl” in director Christopher Nolan‘s final trip to Gotham with The Dark Knight Rises. Rumors persist that this “street-smart Gotham girl” could be none other than the female version of Robin, Carrie Kelly, who was seen in Frank Miller‘s comic series The Dark Knight Returns.

With production on the film starting in just one month, Variety reports that Juno Temple is now locked for the role. This being a Christopher Nolan film (of course), no other details were given about Temple’s character – because we’ll find out when Nolan wants us to find out!

Christopher Nolan will direct the film from a screenplay he co-wrote with Jonathan Nolan, from a story by Christopher Nolan and David S. Goyer. Goyer will also produce the film with Charles Roven and Nolan’s longtime producing partner, Emma Thomas.

The Dark Knight Rises is slated to hit theaters on July 20th, 2012.
