Jon Favreau to Direct Disney’s MAGIC KINGDOM

Jon Favreau (Cowboys & Aliens, Iron Man 3) may be putting on his Mickey Mouse ears and heading off to the director’s chair of Walt Disney Pictures‘ fantasy film, Magic Kingdom. The story will reportedly be set in the iconic theme park, and will be the mouse house’s answer to Fox’s Night at the Museum, with the park’s attractions coming to life.

Ronald D. Moore (Battlestar Galactica) wrote the original draft for the film but if Favreau signs on, another writer will be hired to pen a fresh draft
with the director.

No production or release date has been set for Magic Kingdom.
