Johnny Depp Says It Was An Honor To Represent Heath Ledger In Parnassus

Johnny Depp has spoken out about replacing Heath Ledger in the late star’s last film The Imaginarium of Doctor Parnassus. Depp teamed with Colin Farrell and Law in playing alternate reality versions of Ledger’s character after the principle star passed away from an accidental prescription drug overdose, and Depp has joined Jude Law as the second actor to open up about the movie.

Depp said,

“It was an honor to represent Heath. He was the only player out there breathing heavy down the back of every established actor’s neck with a thundering and ungovernable talent that came up on you quick, hissing rather mischievously with that cheeky grin, ‘Hey… get on out of my way boys, I’m coming through'”

“Though the circumstances of my involvement are extremely heart-rending and unbelievably sad, I feel privileged to have been asked aboard to stand in on behalf of dear Heath”
