Just last week, we brought you the news when Tao Okamoto, Rila Fukushima, Will Yun Lee, Brian Tee, Hiroyuki Sanada, and Hal Yamanouchi all joined Hugh Jackman on the cast of The Wolverine, directed by James Mangold.

Now, Deadline reports that Jessica Biel (Total Recall) is in final negotiations for join the cast of the 20th Century Fox film as Viper/Victoria. The character has a long history of Marvel lore, and though Viper began as a Captain America antagonist, she later becomes a lover of the Silver Samurai, and is thwarted by Wolverine when she attempts to assassinate Mariko.

Collider reports that sources are telling them that talks have broken down between Biel and 20th Century Fox and the studio is now talking to other actresses.

The Wolverine is slated to hit theaters on July 26th, 2013.
