Hans Zimmer Composes “Aurora” for Colorado Victims

Hans Zimmer, composer of the soundtrack for The Dark Knight Rises, as well as award-winning composer of the soundtracks for Inception, Sherlock Holmes, the Pirates of the Caribbean movies, and many many more, has written a piece to benefit the victims of the shooting in Colorado.

“Aurora” is dedicated to those who lost their lives and were affected by the tragedy in Aurora, Colorado. I recorded this song in London in the days following the tragedy as a heartfelt tribute to the victims and their families. 100% of the proceeds will be donated to Aurora Victim Relief organization.” – Hans Zimmer

It is dense and respectful and beautiful. You can download it from the Water Tower Music site for as little as $.10 or for whatever larger donation you choose. You’ll be able to check out a bit of the piece there before you purchase. It’s also available on iTunes as a $1.25 purchase.

Thank you to Hans Zimmer and to Water Tower Music both for the music and for the conduit for donation.
