Geoff Johns and Jim Lee To Drop Bombs on Film Festival

No, not real bombs. They aren’t terrorists, they’re comic book visionaries. On June 11th the Geoff Johns and Jim Lee are bringing big announcements to the Hero Complex Film Festival concerning Superman and the whole DC Universe.

The pair will be interviewed during an ever-expanding Saturday program of events that will also include a special back-to-back viewings of Superman and Superman II: The Richard Donner Cut, as well as a special on-stage interview with Richard Donner himself. Sounds like it’s time to plan a summer vacation! :)

The 2011 Hero Complex Film Festival runs June 9-12 at the Chinese Six Theatre at Hollywood and Highland. A limited number of discounted four-day passes are also available. Other special guests include Warren Beatty,Jon FavreauNicholas MeyerDamon LindelofAlex Kurtzman and Roberto Orci, and screenings include “Iron Man,” “Dick Tracy,” ”Star Trek II: The Wrath of Khan” and “The Incredibles.”

Sounds like loads of fun. This particular venue  seems an odd place to make an announcement concerning the DCU; unless, of course, the news includes new film and television opportunities for DC properties. That would be awesome. They also seem to have singled out Superman as one of the announcements. Maybe they will be announcing plans for that Justice League movie after all. What do you guys think?
