Fridaymageddon Takes On a New Twist as Fringe is Postponed for Game 7

Sorry Fringe fans. Sorry Rangers. Sorry Chuck and Grimm premieres. We’ve been warning you about Fridaymageddon, when all sorts of sci-fi shows are airing opposite each other. The World Series really wasn’t supposed to be an issue, as last night would have been game 7 if necessary.

Unfortunately, there was a postponement due to weather. Last night’s World Series game was a real nail-biter, and in fact went to the 11th inning, before St. Louis pulled it out, forcing a game 7 for – that’s right – Friday at 8:05 Eastern, according to the official Major League Baseball page. Fox has the World Series, which means all the regular Fox shows are being postponed. Including Fringe.

So, for planning purposes, here’s tomorrow’s sci-fi lineup, Eastern time, opposite the final game of the World Series:

8:00 – Star Wars: The Clone Wars (Cartoon Network)

8:00 – Chuck season premiere (NBC)

8:00 – Nikita (The CW)

9:00 – Grimm series premiere (NBC)

9:00 – Supernatural (The CW)

10:00 – Sanctuary (Syfy)

Rumor has it that this week’s Fringe will not be shown on a special night but will instead simply be shown a week later, pushing the rest of the episodes out a week. We’ll keep you posted, but check your local listings to confirm. Didja get that second DVR yet?
