Fridaymageddon is Nearly Here! Watch the First 20 Minutes of GRIMM Now to Help You Choose Your Friday TV Lineup

It’s coming. The Friday we’ve all been dreading. Fridaymageddon. The first of the 2011 fall Fridays to have THREE sci-fi shows on at once: Fringe/Supernatural/Grimm at 9. Not to mention Chuck/Nikita/Star Wars: The Clone Wars and even A Gifted Man all at 8, though SWTCW does repeat, praise the Force. Thank goodness Sanctuary doesn’t start until 10.

Yes, I AM actually getting a second DVR before  then. It was bound to happen at some point; the Powers That Be often appear to enjoy digging at each other by placing their sci-fi shows in opposing time slots.

Grimm is great if you like the dark side of fairy tales and also if you like procedurals. Some people may think it works better than another fairy-tale tie-in show, others may not. Watch for our review.

If you aren’t sure if you’re ready to get another DVR you have a couple of options. Grimm‘s pilot is available online if you follow @NBCGrimm on Twitter; they’ll give you a link. If you don’t tweet and you have some spare time right now, here’s the first twenty minutes (!) of the pilot. You’ll meet a new favorite character of ours about halfway through. And as a bonus, there’s a great new Chuck clip at the end! Enjoy:

Grimm airs Fridays at 9/8c starting on October 28, on NBC.
