Fox Signs Up for New Pilot From J.J. Abrams and Joel Wyman

This is a future we will not fight. Writer/Director/Executive Producer extraordinaire J.J. Abrams, co-creator of Fringe, and writer and Fringe showrunner J. H. (Joel) Wyman are collaborating on a show that Fox has agreed to in a “put pilot” commitment, meaning that the network will pay a substantial penalty if it does not air the pilot once it is complete. The untitled show will be produced by Warner Bros TV and Bad Robot.

Deadline reported that the show will be an action buddy-cop show set in the near-future when all Los Angeles Police Department officers are partnered with highly functional androids. Wyman is writing and will executive produce along with Abrams and Bad Robot‘s Bryan Burk.

WE ARE SO EXCITED ABOUT THIS!
