Fox Announces Fringe, Terra Nova Dates; The CW and Fox Sci-Fi Go Head-to-Head AGAIN

We recently reported about the The CW fall premiere dates for the Vampire Diaries, Supernatural and The Secret Circle. Its sister-network Fox has now joined the early-release program and announced its fall lineup, including premiere dates.

We will hopefully start learning what the heck is going on with Peter (Peter? Who is Peter?) when Fringe returns to this side of the universe on Friday, September 23 at 9/8c.

And you will have a fair amount of time to get into dinosaur-escaping shape; the new and hopefully excellent Terra Nova debuts on Monday, September 26 at 8/7c with a two-hour premiere. It will begin its regular run in its Monday at 8/7c timeslot the following week.

Great, we already have a conflict. Really, The CW and Fox, you couldn’t work this out so that two very popular but often-on-the-bubble sci-fi shows aren’t opposite each other? We WILL find a way to overcome the network overlords! Oh wait, DVR. Ok, here we go for the fall lineup so far:

Thursday, September 15 – 8/7c The Vampire Diaries, The CW

Thursday, September 15 – 9/8c The Secret Circle, The CW

Friday, 9/23 – 9/8c Fringe, FOX

Friday, 9/23 – 9/8c Supernatural, The CW

Monday, 9/26 – 8/7 Terra Nova, FOX

We’ll keep you posted as the announcements keep coming – here’s hoping that we’ve seen the only scheduling conflict of the fall season.
