Fan Love: SAVE OUR SEEKER Seeks To Save Show With VARIETY Ad

Can’t keep fans of a good show down! With the recent news that the fantasy television series “Legend of the Seeker” was not picked up for a third season of syndication by Tribune Entertainment/WGN, fans of the show have exhibited their support for the show with this public plea to shop the show to other networks and distributors. Last Friday, this ad sponsored by the fan campaign “Save Our Seeker” ran in “Variety”:

Save Our Seeker” has raised over nine thousand dollars to purchase ad space for its campaign to save the show. This full-page ad space in “Daily Variety” was just the beginning. This ad design by Tarlanciel, aka Miriam Kintscher, was selected on by fans of the show. The fan group is close to securing ad space in “The Hollywood Reporter“. Visit “Save Our Seeker” to donate to the cause!

The fan campaign urges fans of the show to show their support by “sending postcards and letters to ABC, contacting the media, and encouraging everybody to purchase the series on both iTunes and DVD format – Season One and pre-ordering Season Two.” The fans have arisen, even bringing #SaveOurSeeker to trend on Twitter in the first weekend of May.

Legend of the Seeker” has only had two seasons to its name and is based on the Terry GoodkindSword of Truth” novels. ABC/Disney, the production corporation behind LOTS, has not made an official announcement of the fate of the show.
