Dianna Agron Joins The Cast Of I Am Number Four


Dianna Agron (Glee), has landed the romantic female lead in the DJ Caruso directed Sci-Fi film, I Am Number Four. Agron will play a girl dating a high school jock who falls for Number Four and becomes his confidante. Number Four is being played by Alex Pettyfer (Beastly), Sharlto Copley plays Number Four’s mentor and Teresa Palmer plays Pettyfer’s fellow alien, Number Six.

I Am Number Four is an adaptation of the upcoming young-adult science fiction book by James Frey and Jobie Hughes which revolves around a group of nine aliens who escaped their home planet just before it was annihilated by a rival species. Hiding out on Earth, Number Four disguises himself as a human high schooler, only to discover he’s still being hunted by his planet’s enemy.

Michael Bay is producing alongside Steven Spielberg. Al Gough and Miles Millar (Smallville) wrote the screenplay.

I Am Number Four is scheduled to begin principal photography next month in Pittsburgh and is slated to hit theaters on February 18th, 2011.
