Despite Hold on The Maze Runner Flick, Plans Move Ahead to Adapt THE SCORCH TRIALS

The Scorch Trials is the second book in The Maze Runner series by James Dashner. The first directed by Wes Ball, has already wrapped filming and has been delayed in post production until hitting the theaters from its original release on Valentine’s Day to the fall of 2014. Fans should fear not, though. The Scorch Trials is going to be making its way to movie adaptation.

T.S. Nowlin who worked on the team that adapted The Maze Runner is already set to adapt The Scorch Trials for 20th Century Fox, according to Deadline.

We’ve already had the pleasure of devouring The Scorch Trials and the book that follows it, The Death Cure, and we’ll wait to post a review until a little after the movie The Maze Runner hits, as it will be very hard to not be too spoilery. We highly recommend the books and we also highly recommend putting a little time between when you read the books and when you see the movie, so that you can enjoy them as separate entities.

So if you haven’t already. Go read The Maze Runner trilogy and follow it up with the prequel (but seriously, read it after the trilogy), The Kill Order.

We’ll keep you posted on the latest for The Scorch Trials.
