Comic-Con 2012: Epic TV Continues Friday Takeover of Hall H With THE WALKING DEAD

Yesterday we told you that the Game of Thrones Comic-Con panel will be taking place on Friday, July 13 at 1:25 pm in the vast and mighty Hall H, and also told you how unusual it was to have a TV series panel there on a Friday. It’s now looking more and more like Friday will in fact be TV Panel Day in Hall H, as AMC has just announced that The Walking Dead will also have its panel on Friday in Hall H.

Moderated by Talking Dead host Chris Hardwick, The Walking Dead panelists will include new cast members Danai Gurira (Michonne) and David Morrissey (the Governor), as well as Andrew Lincoln (Rick), Sarah Wayne Callies (Lori), Laurie Holden (Andrea), Norman Reedus (Darryl), Steven Yeun (Glenn), Lauren Cohan (Maggie), Executive Producer and Showrunner Glen Mazzara, Executive Producer Gale Anne Hurd, Executive Producer and comics creator Robert Kirkman and Co-Executive Producer and Special Effects Make-up Supervisor Greg Nicotero. So, still no love for T-Dog.

Ooo and this just in: Showrunner Glen Mazzara has confirmed that the Season 3 trailer will premiere at the panel:

Not a big surprise there, but it’s good to know. Attendees take note that there will be an autograph session on Friday before the panel, at 10:45AM at Booth #3721. Veterans know that this means you’ll probably have to choose one or the other, though it may be possible to get autographs and then get a seat near the back of the room for the panel, since Hall H is just so freaking big.

Keep your eyes on SciFi Mafia for firsthand reports of the wonderfulness that is Comic-Con 2012, July 11-15.
