Clips from ‘Family Guy’ Season Premiere “Road to the Multiverse”

The seventh season premiere of Fox’s “Family Guy” sends Stewie and Brian traveling to various parallel universes. Check out the four clips below, followed by some details about the episode from MacFarlane.

Family Guy returns this Sunday on FOX

The episode, entitled ‘Road to the Multiverse’, involves the characters of Griffin family dog Brian and baby Stewie traveling to alternate universes.

“It’s actually pretty easy,” the series creator said. “It’s a theory that’s interesting enough in its dry form.”

The different realities that the pair will travel to include Technoverse, which features a technically-advanced present due to Christianity never existing; Dogverse will showcase Brian’s human counterparts as canines; and Robot Chickenverse employs stop-motion animation and is a reference to Seth Green’s (who voices Chris on Family Guy) Adult Swim series.

MacFarlane added that a Disneyverse segment presented a challenge to recreate the studio’s famous cel animation.

He explained:

“The animation itself was a challenge to do. It’s one of the few pieces of animation that we’ve done in the US that’s done entirely in LA. It turned out looking great. It was kind of an experiment.”
