We told you just last week about the Tron Legacy viral fame over at ArcadeAid.com, which required you to identify 56 hidden games titles in order to acquire your very own Encom I.D. badge so that you could Infiltrate ENCOM. Well, I received a package in the mail today from ‘Flynn Lives‘. The package contained an ENCOM employee ID Badge (Including a nice lanyard emblazoned with the Encom logo), and a note from ‘Zack’ (See below).

You’ll notice in the top right hand corner of the ID Badge, there is a QR Code. I broke out my trusty BlackBerry and launched my QR Code scanner, scanned the code and it brought me to the Encom International – Employee Intranet.

Once here, I could login with my employee identification number on the badge, and my password from my FlynnLives.com account.

And… SUCCESS, I’m in!

Oh look, I have 5 new email messages… hmm, we’ll get back to that later.

As you scroll down the page, you’ll notice a posting about an ‘Upcoming Announcement’ that will take place in less than two weeks. Checking my handy Con calendar, the only thing I could find within that time frame is ‘WonderCon’ in San Francisco. What is the picture just below the announcement? Yep, that’s San Francisco!

Next, we have some corporate mumbo-jumbo, but we’re going to check in to that email box just below.. so keep scrolling.

Now, here we are at my Encom inbox, you’ll notice my first initial and last name in the upper left hand corner and to the right of that, my employee ID number (from the badge) and my security access level ‘Group #7‘. If you don’t remember from the original Tron movie, this was the same access level granted to Kevin Flynn and Lora.

Now, on to the messages….

Nothing too informative in the message above, although – Lila seems to be missing, and it was a “KILLER” party. I’m not sure if we’re supposed to be reading too much into that but, was Lila killed at the party? or perhaps she vanished like Kevin Flynn? Could Lila be Olivia Wilde’s character, ‘Quorra’?

The next three messages seem to be harmless corporate bitching… so, skip down to the last message.

While the message above doesn’t seem to have any significance to the movie, or the viral ARG, it is nostalgic…and it’s from Alan Bradley (Bruce Boxleitner/Tron himself).

“Battlestar Galactica” alum James Callis, aka Dr. Gaius Baltar, returns to dangerous and brilliant science with a role on SyFy’s hit show “Eureka”. Callis joins the cast in the upcoming fourth season as “Dr. Grant, a former resident of the town whose return is cause for alarm.”

Things in Eureka is about to get even more interesting as Callis’ character has eyes for Dr. Allison Blake (Salli Richardson-Whitfield). This will undoubtedly cause trouble for Sheriff Jack Carter (Colin Ferguson). The next season promises “big changes in store for everyone in the small town of Eureka after a cataclysmic shift turns their lives upside down.”

Callis has been busy since the conclusion of “BSG” with guest roles on “Numbers” and an upcoming episode of “FlashForward”.

“Eureka” premieres its fourth season on July 9^th on SyFy.

“It is complicated. It’s a complicated story-structure, but it’s sprung from the great filmmaker Christopher Nolan’s mind, and he’s been able to take highly complex jigsaw puzzles in a narrative and put them together like we’ve never seen.”

The song was produced by RedOne, the mastermind behind hit singles from Lady GaGa. Jason Segel (How I Met Your Mother) will play the lead role in Disney’s upcoming Muppet film, entitled The Greatest Muppet Movie Ever Made. Segel and Nicholas Stoller wrote the screenplay for the film, which will see Segel play a man who tries to get the disbanded Muppets back together to put on a show.

Flight Of The Conchords director James Bobin was hired to helm the new Muppets film, after Stoller (Forgetting Sarah Marshall) dropped out to work on Russell Brand’s Get Him To The Greek.

Sir Ian McKellen is set to return to the set of Hobbiton in Matamata, New Zealand in June. McKellen said on his website that he would reprise the role of Gandalf, though the rest of the cast for executive producer Peter Jackson’s film, The Hobbit, has yet to be officially announced. Filming will take place in New Zealand throughout 2010, shot over 370 days and released in two parts.

McKellen said,

Casting in Los Angeles, New York City and London has started. The first draft is crammed with old and new friends, again on a quest in Middle Earth.

SyFy will air an updated sequel to “The Phantom” storyline in the form of a four-hour miniseries. The creator of “Carnivale”, Daniel Knauf along with his son Charles adapted this story for television involving the induction and training of the twenty-second Phantom.

“The Phantom” is an modern update on the classic comic book hero created by Lee Falk. The miniseries has aired in Canada this past December and will now see an US airdate in June in two parts. If this miniseries does well, SyFy may greenlight it for a television series.

The miniseries jumps off the comic strip’s original storyline of Christopher Walker who was the 21^st Phantom in the long line of Walker men to wear the costume. This new adaptation stars Ryan Carnes (“Desperate Housewives”), as Kit Walker who “discovers his legacy after the death of his adopted parents”. “The Phantom” also stars Sandrine Holt, Jean Marchand, Cas Anvar, and Isabella Rossellini.

Rose McGowan has joined the cast of director Marcus Nispel’s CONAN. She will star as an evil half-human/half-witch, alongside Jason Momoa, Rachel Nichols, Stephen Lang, Bob Sapp, Leo Howard, Ron Perlman and Said Taghmaoui. CONAN is slated for release in 2011.

Based on the Robert E. Howard books, the movie is written by Thomas Dean Donnelly & Joshua Oppenheimer, Sean Hood and Andrew Lobel.
