Cancellation Axe Falls On THE EVENT, V, and NO ORDINARY FAMILY

And the cancellation announcements continue as the networks begin announcing their fall line-ups. Low ratings have resulted in the cancellation of three more sci-fi shows. NBC has pulled the plug on The Event and ABC has axed alien-invasion reboot V and family superhero drama No Ordinary Family.

But there is good news for fans of The Event as there is talk of the show being picked up by perhaps Netflix or some other cable and digital entity. Executive producer Steve Stark thanked NBC for their start:

NBC has been an amazing partner, it launched the show beautifully,”

Show creator Nick Wauters hopes to continue the show:

“We have a dedicated fan base, and we promised them we will deliver one way or another and will continue to tell our stories.”

What do you guys think of these cancellations? Which stories would you like to see continued and how?
